84 84 people viewed this event.

The scientific event is timed to coincide with major historical anniversaries: 300 years of St. Petersburg State University, 300 years of the Russian Academy of Sciences and 90 years of the organization of historical faculties in Leningrad/St. Petersburg and Moscow Universities. These significant anniversaries allow us to develop the theme of the role of scientists and thinkers in the history of mankind, encourage us to discuss forms, methods and tasks of historical education today, as well as oblige us once again to pay tribute to our teachers, outstanding Russian historians of the 20th century.

The program will be united by the theme “Man makes history”. We propose to consider the role of personality in various aspects – from scientific biography, historical portraits of prominent people to mythological images of legendary heroes and antiheroes. As in previous forums, it is supposed to link the topics of the sections and round tables with historical anniversaries .

The forum will include plenary sessions, round tables, sections, discussions, presentations, and master classes. It will be accompanied by the holding of All-Russian youth competitions and the opening of exhibitions.

Working languages of the forum: Russian, English.

The Program Committee reserves the right to select individual applications and applications for the organization of sections / round tables / presentations and will inform the participants about its decision additionally.

Participants may join us in person or virtually. For those who are not able to join us in person plenary sessions, keynote speeches, sections (selectively) and round tables (selectively) will be broadcast live.

Participation in the conference involves payment of the registration fee: 1500 rubles for citizens of Russia and CIS countries, 50 euros for foreign participants. Travel and accommodation expenses are borne by the participants themselves.
