Big data and smart computing are emerging research fields that have recently drawn much attention from computer science and information technology as well as from social sciences and other disciplines. Big data analytics and practices seeks to include work from a wide range of technologies and domains ? including (but not limited to) smart systems (e.g. in cities, automobiles, farms, etc.), cyber-physical systems, Internet of Things applications, healthcare, and social networks and media. Technological aspects of the event include service-oriented technologies, machine learning, predictive analytics, data modelling, system architectures, data mining, and simulation.
